Creative Vision Day
Welcome to the Creative Vision Day!
I don't know about you but I am a bit of a planner and I really like to buy journals and planners and set about my intentions for the year. What I have realised is that setting intentions for the year tend to run out of steam after the first few months, so I have created a program for people like me who need that regular support, reminders and accountability.
Join us for an inspiring day filled with creativity and imagination, all from the comfort of your own home. This free online event is designed to ignite your creative spark and help you explore new horizons.
Spend some time thinking, dreaming and creating the year you want both professionally and personally!
If you're a counsellor, psychotherapist, or wellbeing practitioner who has bigger dreams than where you're at right now, this is for you. Whether you are new to private practice or want to go to the next level you'll be glad you took time out to dream about your practice.
You'll have space to reflect and think about the year so far and spend some time thinking, dreaming and creating the future you want, both professionally and personally.
What to expect:
Small immersive coaching groups to share your thoughts about the year so far and time on your own to creatively dream about your future.
Creative Vision Day runs 3 times a year, and is my gift to you and your business. Each session helps you not only set powerful goals, but also stay motivated and inspired to achieve them, while having space to be creative!
Each session will have a creative activity within it, sometimes using magazines, pens, paper and any other creative supplies you like. These will act as a starting point for you to map out your vision.
September 18th 2026 - Grow Yourself - The year may be rushing by, but there’s still plenty of time to flourish. This session is your autumn harvest — a chance to gather the lessons of the past months and reflect on how far you’ve come.
We’ll explore how to finish the year with strength and intention, while keeping self‑care at the centre. You’ll learn practical ways to stay inspired and avoid burnout as the busy holiday season approaches.
To close, you’ll celebrate your progress — even the growth you might not have noticed. Our creative activity will give you a tangible reminder of your journey and the achievements you deserve to honour.
January 2027 - Find Yourself - Start the new year with a blank canvas! Together we’ll gently guide you in reflecting on the past year while sparking your imagination for the year ahead. Using creative prompts, engaging worksheets, and time to connect with other passionate creatives, you'll leave this session with a clear vision board for the year ahead to give you clarity, purpose and direction. You can then use it to create a practical plan going forward whilst staying anchored to your vision. You'll discover how to harness the power of creative reuse, like turning old magazines into inspiration.
May 2027 - Be Yourself - Half way through the year, is your vision on track? Do you need to restart, reset, readjust, reassess? Regardless of whether you set any goals at the start of the year, this session invites you to pause and reflect on whether you’re staying true to yourself and your vision for your practice. Our creative activity will use symbols to remind you who you are and the business that you’re growing.
Bring a comforting drink, notepad and pen, your pre work (download before the session) and some creative resources.

Who is Creative Vision Day for?
Counsellors and Well-being Practitioners who want to creatively grow their dreams.
If you want safe and supported creative space:
- to dream about your practice
- to be inspired about your future
- to talk it through with like-minded peers
Then Creative Vision Day is for you.
Your facilitator is Nicola Hughes, Creative Counsellor and Supervisor who loves creating safe therapeutic spaces for fellow practitioners.
She started the creative vision days because its what she really needed to help her grow her business. She now runs a successful counselling practice in West Leeds and has recently authored her new book SENT about parent carer trauma.
When she's not working or advocating she's eating cake, swimming outdoors or walking Mo the therapy dog - not at the same time though!
Very relaxing and freeing. Enjoyed the gentle approach and found it inspiring and energising.
Counsellor
I always get a lot out of CVD- always something new that surprises me. It’s a spa for the mind.

Nicola was easy going and generous with what she offered. I will be signing up for more groups.
